My name is Richarl Vaculik, but no one can pronounce my surname so everyone calls me Richie Vas. I grew up surfing at Maroubra Beach, Sydney. And I still live there today.

I love chasing swells around Oz and Overseas, and am most happy when surfing a new slab somewhere with a couple mates. When i’m not surfing i like to try and stay fit and have gotten involved in Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) over the past few years I have had a couple fights and now have a 4-0 record.

This year i’m hoping to score some more big barrels here in Oz and squeeze another fight in somewhere. I plan on ending the year in Hawaii where i can surf and train.
